AFRICA

Hello all!

Well I leave to the mystical continent of Africa in around 12 days.

It is definitely a place I have wanted to visit for a long time. When I was a chubby preteen in Canada I would race home from the bus stop, load a bowl full of two-bite brownies, oreos and cheetos and run downstairs to catch the last 10 minutes of the World Vision show before Sabrina the Teenage Witch came on. I used to sit there looking at the children portrayed on TV and want to meet them and help them; I wanted to experience their life and culture. Unfortunately I won’t be doing any conservational work while I am there this time but I hope to learn a lot from this trip and hopefully return in the future when I’m a bit older to do some volunteer work.

I have my backpack, a pile of necessary travel ingredients, copies of everything important and I am SO ready to go!
